However, when I looked at Niume everything about the site looked really professional, so I signed up and have now published one post.
I was a bit distressed earlier when, after I mentioned Niume on another forum, I was directed to this discussion with particular reference to the comment about the domain being for sale. I was really planning to concentrate on quality there, but now I'm undecided about how to proceed. Photography is one of my hobbies, and I really don't want to publish my best photos there if I'm likely to regret it later. On the other hand I don't like using free photos off the internet unless I really don't have something else that fits.
Maybe after all my best way forward is to concentrate on my own blogs, even if they don't earn much.
Sorry @Gina145 about this bit of information! I know you're a careful person and I don't want you get burned again. I see lots of activities with this new site on BJ too, but after seeing the screen shot that @Lexi posted, I am at a halt! For me, it is not worth investing the time even though I need to make money!
I really appreciate the warning and am grateful that it came before I put much time and effort into that site. It's starting to look that the only site that can be trusted is myLot, but that's really a site for socialising rather than writing.
If blogging worked better I'd stop looking for that kind of site, but it's really tough to find an audience that way. I've got a blog about bonsai which attracts a decent amount of traffic when I promote my posts at Reddit, but when I write about anything else I've had no luck promoting it. Other sub-Reddits just seem to block my shares.
