Re: I am tired of Niume and you?

The site is almost worthless at current rate of views. Even if I am getting 15-20 views a day (I am neither writing nor sharing works anymore) it will take years to reach next payment threshold.

That's terrible. I have just checked out mine and my views for last 5 days are only 3. So I am not even trying to reach to payout even I need 1.40$. I know I can't reach there with current conditions.

I need $2.10 for another payout and my views are not moving anymore so I guess it is quite impossible for me too to get to the minimum in no time.

Don't give up hope so easily. I am expecting that this site will probably come back and register views correctly if it has to stay alive.

Well, if it goes that way then only I can reach to payout. Otherwise no hope. How can you believe it, I mean I haven't seen any site make such comeback.

I think with all the complains and bad reviews, the site is still staying. There are still people writing on the site. They are all getting views, but my blogs are not so I am kind of sad about it. I just wait till there are good views and then I write a post and if not, then I will just wait again.

May I ask you about your experience so far? I have earned a lot of money on this site in last few months ($400+ in 3-4 months) but I am no more writing as no correct views are being registered lately.

I think any website that has users or members complaining about a change that the management and staff made that didn't go over too well have two choices. CHOICE 1: They will bust their butts trying to fix the problem and make the users happy again. CHOICE 2: They'll get ready to close up shop.

Since I'm not an “Insider”, I don't know which way the site owners are going to turn. But you don't need to be an Insider to know that for sites like Niume, Literacy Base, etc. - NO users or members equals NO site!!

As for my own experience so far? I am finding a new home for old content. Every now and then I publish new original content. Since friends had been encouraging me to join, I finally signed up and started looking for them to leave comments at their posts. I am also meeting new people. I received a warm welcome.

I am very surprised that about 5 of my posts have been featured or “Staff Picked”. (Especially since some of it is republished content.) On top of that the owners or moderators (I'm not sure which or who) have tweeted a few of my posts via their Twitter account. Another surprise!

I do see “Views” (that's the what the little eye is – right?) for my posts. Also, I receive eMails to let me know when my posts are gathering “Hype”.

Since I wasn't really there BEFORE the “changes”, I don't have any complaints, because I don't know anything different to make a comparison.

As for earnings? I can see “Views”. I guess if they keep increasing, I'll eventually reach payout. Will I get paid? I don't know. It seems some people are also complaining about not being paid, in addition to the drop in the view count.

Like I said, I just got there. But nothing has happened to make me want to leave. I find the site to be an easy publishing platform and the members are very friendly. I'm hoping I can earn some income from my activity. :$:

Congratulations @cmoneyspinner for your featured posts but don't count much on hypes as they are nothing but to grab your attention (These hypes can be given without even opening your post) but most of the members expect you to come back and read their posts) Niume staff, I agree is very generous as they normally share all the posts on twitter but the question is- did that make any difference on your views or they kept the benefit for themselves?

I've had enough experience with sites shutting down. If Niume closes shop, it'll just be a YAS - yet another site where I published my content that said Bye Bye! I don't expect much. Every day I wake up I expect a site to have disappeared. I'm pleasantly surprised when I see it's still here. But I've gotten smarter over the years. I try to keep copies of my stuff so I can publish somewhere else! I had a bad habit of not making backup copies. But the disappearing sites made me break that bad habit!

I think niume is not something many of us would play with. because it's not earning for many. some may get views and also get paid. but in bigger picture it is not worth it.

I think that Niume maybe is going to shut down, but not so soon because now they have lots of content and lots of people daily visiting their profiles and articles checking for better news. Unfortunately, this is a destiny of all sites 'that pay'. They just stop paying.
If you write, definitely copy everything and post to another page as soon another opportunity emerges.
I heard rates are terrible.

The PPV rates are awful. But they do have a "donate" button. Although that hasn't helped me any. :) But it might help contributors who have loyal subscribers, fans, or followers. I really like that Niume accepts republished content. To me that's the PLUS at that site. I've got blog posts and article that have been published for years. Might as well put them online somewhere else and see if I can get some money from all my work. That's what I liked about YAHOO Voices. I republished content and actually got paid for it. But then YCV shut down. (Sigh.) Story of my online life. :D :D

I was tired with nimune many months ago thus I stopped visiting the site. IN my experience users do not reciprocate users, and outsiders do not take interest on the nimune posts.

Niume is surely not worth it for the affiliate marketing either. I think it's not worth anymore.
