Re: I am tired of Niume and you?

Are the views now in sync and do all social media views count? Any good news from the site?

Update: I just received an email from Niume on how they count their views.

Thanks for sharing this one. This post is simplified explanation but not all are in there. Interaction doesn't count my views. I have a 3 comments on a post but it has no views. How can they says it gives views, or maybe I need to understand more. The only way is for sharing our posts but I am not earning anything even from sharing. :(

Their explanation doesn't show reality though. they are genuinely not counting views because they are low on funds. I have no plans on writing anything serious there. I may write for say backlinks though.

This is hilarious! I posted a topic there and I got only 3 views from all the social media that I have shared with. I mean, common!

Definitely not a true reflection and it's time to give the site some space.

They will not come to terms as long people do not realize the fact an stop writing there. What the site is doing right now is nothing short of manipulation. I have stopped all my activities apart from a short visit to check my stats.

Hmm it sounds like things are going down hill now. I have not been active on the site much due to UserTesting and GrindaBuck taking a huge chunk of my time. While gone I get a view here and there but not much. Not sure what to think or how to feel on this one, or if I should keep going. I wanted to get at least $10 but I am stuck at 75 cents so I don't know... :problem:

What I understand from the post is that, whenever someone opens the post, one view is counted. Whenever someone click on Hype, Favorite or comment, even from the card view (not entering inside the post page), one view is also counted. (Only one view from a person, even for all actions)

I don't think currently it's how the views are calculated, so I wonder if the team is still working to fix the issue.

It seems that the site is telling everyone to get out of the site  . Why do I have that kind of feeling? My post moved by 3 but on my other posts, it is stuck on the views I had from last month. For now, this is not a good site for me.

I don't know how many people wasting time writing there. I for one have no plans on writng there anymore. I'd instead spend some time on writing for sites that pay atleast 50 cents to me. Because with niume even 50 cents require 500 views.

That's true. It is insane and I think it is going the TinyCent's way. For those who want to wind up on your posts, this may be the time.

I haven't had any views for a couple of days but Niume shared one of my posts on Twitter this morning. Let's see whether it brings me any views today.

Good luck, sharing is workable than writing some times!

I think this is one reason many people are moving to literacybase and few other online sites. Niume turned out to be too much work. hell even posting on our own blog and then creaitng links from niume is lot better than just posting on niume alone.

So far I've had one view today. Not very encouraging :(

I wonder why people are still posting. Maybe they are experiencing good and it has something to do with our blog posts? I am checking it regularly and my post views now is stuck to what it is. Not happy with all of my sites. Everything is going downhill.

I'm a bit baffled by that too, but I suppose some people are still getting enough views to satisfy them.

I just checked a friend's Niume profile. She has posted 4 times in the last 24 hours and her posts have received between 22-40 views each. All have hype in the hundreds and a few comments.

By contrast I've published a mere 3 posts in February so far, receiving between 12-59 views and the latest has no comments at all.

All her posts were in the photography category and none of my recent ones were. Maybe I should try another photo post and see if that does better. I'm just not feeling terribly motivated to post there right now, but it would be interesting to see what happens.

Wow, that sounds great, Gina145! It seems to me that the admin have a lot of faith in your work. It's just sad that the vote of confidence doesn't necessarily translate to views. What do you think is the reason for this? The Niume lot seem hard to please.

Thanks @Angie10. I wish I had a clue what goes on at Niume. I may try sharing one more photo post and if that doesn't work, I'll probably give up on Niume... for now, at least.

How's the result? Did you get good number of views for that post?

I don't think I'm going to write at niume at the moment too, perhaps just sharing whenever I feel like it, and see how it goes. :)

So far my view count for today is still sitting at ONE. Niume indicated there could be a 24 hour delay in views showing up, but I'm not convinced it takes that long. It certainly didn't in the past.
