And you wouid need to do so much work if you are living in a public compound. That's so that the birds do not constitue nuisance in any way to other neighbors.

The price if eggs is just responding to the general price increase in everything in the market. I have virtually watched the price of eggs triple in just a year.

You might not need to be super rich but your income level should rise above the rate of inflation every year.

Basic food items like ehh and meat are rising in prices. The average citizen is truly finding it very difficult to survive even after cutting away luxuries.

It's actually worse and makes it unbearable for people when inflation affects food items, some people don't even care about luxuries any longer as they just want to put something into their mouth.

The situation with eggs is that of a multiplier effect. The prices of little things like corn has risen. And these little things are used to produce eggs. Eggs have to rise in prices.

Another problem is of Trade Barriers, Import duties that often prevent import of some essential items to cool down prices.
In another way, too much dependency on imported items too can be a problem, in case of supply shortage.

We have faced a similar 4-5 times price hike situation with Tomatoes.
30 to 50 Rs per kg price went to 200 to even 300 !
So we had to cut its consumption.

Prices are slightly down but still at 100, it is much greater than the average of 30 to 40 before.
And for poor families, it is even a bigger hit.
