I bought Korean Spam online because its cheaper than American spam. You can only buy it at bulk so I purchased a box with 50 cans. that has me set for 3 years. it will expire in 4 years.



Korean canned Goods are awesome, they have better and healthier FDA than US and china and their products are cheap if bought in bulk.

Korean Spam is pretty coveted item in Korea. Koreans eat lot of spam, second only to USA in total amount, but greater if you factor in population. Customers buy it in bulk packages and as fancy holiday gift boxes. It's iconic there.

I stopped buying Pasta, I just buy flour because I have unlimmited access to eggs and I bought a pasta machine. I make my own noodles now. its extra work buy I save more and it tasted better than dry pasta.

Because of Inflation, the iconic Japanese Candy, Sakuma drops will close down. These candies had been around for 100 years.

Some people are now eating offal meats because they are cheaper source of meat. There is an increase with people who eats hearts,livers and kidneys.

We are all feeling the pinch and trying to cut back so many things it's unreal. These days when I think of going food shopping, I look at my bank balance and nearly faint. It makes it very hard to enjoy the things we like AND save as well. To try to cushion the pinch, we cut back on many things we enjoy like getting a takeaway on Fridays - these days it's more like once a month (if that!), not EVERY Friday. We no longer go clothes shopping either because clothes are extortionate here

My favorite offal is liver and tripe. I had been buying cow tripe and goat liver as meat source since I do not want to kill all of my livestock.

It is the same here, it is impossible to go to the supermarket, the bill is higher each week. I think many supermarkets took advantage of the crisis to increase their prices.

How hard are you hit with inflation?

I converted the price in USD so you can understand my experiences better.

I love canned corned beef, When I was a kid, For a dollar I can buy 4 cans of corned beef, if a matter of 10 years, A can of corn beef is now 2 dollars.

When I was a kid, A dollar is 4 bus rides home to school. Inflation now made it 4 dollars!

When I was in highschool, For two dollars, I can fill my aquarium with 10 female Betta fish with just a dollar. Now a single female betta fish is 5 dollars.

My mom said that when she was a teen, she and my dad watches movies in theater for 10 cents and that is double feature and you can rewatch the movies as long as you don't exit the theaters. Now A movie in theater is charges 10 dollars per ticket and there is no repeat.

Image what inflation would be in third world countries or a developing country like Nigeria.
It's not easy, that's why we are not brave people, but we are survivals.

A hen costs $20 in my area and I love to kill four hens for Christmas so I have been looking for how to get the money or I should rather go for goat for Christmas.
