Re: So more adults buy toys for themselves than for children

I'm not surprised that adults buy toys for themselves. Some adults still like collecting toy trains, trucks. Lego is also something both adult and children can play with.

Yes, some toys could mean money. Aren't collectibles such as Matchbox cars worth money? Just curious.

Funko Pops are giant-headed, replicas of actors and actresses, characters, and cartoons from pop culture. It has an official site: https://www.funko.com/

Action figures with Bobbing heads. Most people use them as displays as they lose value if you open the box. A Funkopop can be a fictional character,Historical figure or a celebrity.

If someone is popular they have a Funkopop

My son only has one (from Nightmare before Christmas) but he kept the box too, I don't know if it will ever be worth something but he keeps it as a treasure. :D

Anything to make an adult happy wouldn't be a bad idea so if it makes them feel good so be it.

Boys and their toys :D . Well, the same saying can go for girls too.
We all have a child inside us and given a chance we all would like to keep that one alive.
This trend might be a reflection of the changing socio economic conditions. Consumerism has increased as people can afford to buy. Social roles and responsibilities have changed. You can stay single and pamper yourself. Even if you have a family, you are not drowned into guilty of pampering yourselves. You can think beyond taking care of your family and treat yourself well

My elder daughter and niece are officially adults now. But they still love to buy stuffed toys and all those figurines of Marvels and other super hero movies to keep it as decor items. And they do have a good cost showing that they are in demand.

I am always awed by how you guys overseas are fascinated with toys. In my country, hunger and poverty has killed every obsession we can muster to nurse.

Toys are meant for children but adults have taken up the challenge with children. However adults shouldn't be adapted to thus because they are meant to be thinking and solving problem.
