Wow, @JolietJake, you really are having a good month over at MyLot - way to go!  But what changed this month? Are you spending a lot more time over there?

Not really...I've just started a few more discussions than usual, not a lot more. Coming online when I wake up at 2 AM for the day and posting things then gives them all day long to receive responses.

Most days I run out of ideas for new discussions but starting at least one discussion every day is the key to earn better. This month I won't receive a payment from them as I am far from the minimum :(

Yep - officially my best earning month since January of this year. All I have to do now is keep my temper under control so I don't get banned for telling a few people what I really think about some of the things they post. Trump (and by extension, his supporters) has gotten me more fired up about things than I have perhaps ever been in my life...Lord knows how many discussions/responses/comments I have written lately and then deleted instead of posting them.

Maybe you wouldn't get banned for writing what you really think but you would certainly gain a lot of haters and would be blocked.

No...I'd probably get banned because after 14 years I know what is and what is not allowed. Seniors/veterans usually don't get breaks, they are held to a higher standard.

The conclusion is this site is very very low paying .

By any chance, did you reply to the responses you get and reply back to them?

the replies you should be giving should be something that will make them keep replying instead of "thanks for sharing" You need to have something like this.

That's why debaters do well in Mylot.
----

Look at how members like @topffer and @FayeHazel , That is what ideal Mylot members would be. Back and forth discussions.

But yeah there are members who make replies that are impossible to reply. Go for the most talkative members. Avoid the "thanks for sharing" people

Also, don't start a daisy-chain of "How are you today?" and "What did you have for supper?" comments. Keep your comments somewhat in relation to the topic already being discussed.

I am trying to catch up with the interaction since I've been out in the field for almost a week. I just can't participate regarding the discussion on the latest US election because I know a little about this.

The good thing is it's paying off! I keep wanting to start new discussion threads but I'm currently busy with offline commitments. I'll probably shoot for that over the Christmas break when work eases off :)

using mylot has been a wonderful experience for me throughout the years. I found about mylot a few years back when they paid much more than they do now for discussions and comments. i did not stick with mylot because of earning but because when i ended up in a tough situation, I could always depend on mylot users to give me great advice.
mylot has change a lot from when i first became a member but I've stuck with the site despite the changes because of the people mylot attracts.
why do you stay connected to mylot throughout the years?

This was the very first community that I joined. I gained a lot of ideas and information from people around the world. You can share and solicit opinion on almost anything. Since members came from different countries, you can get various opinions which are somehow helpful in one way or another.

I also noticed that starting discussions earns me well there. I always try to make at least five discussions there daily.

myLot has never paid more, actually. Used to take me 2-3 months for payout and I have made it every month now since September 2015.

You need to tell that to Anna/LadyDuck who makes $30-40 there every month and starts very few discussions.

without asking anyone I know that some members earn more there because their threads are always on top discussions I can only congratulate them because they deserve that and you one of them right ?
