I thought this was bad when I first read this Thread here, but My wife came home from shopping today and told me that a normal size package of Philly Creamed Cheese that she often found on sale for $.99 USD was now priced at $5.00 each. Most of you may think that is no big deal, but I live in the Pacific Northwest where a lightly toasted Bagel spread with Creamed Cheese and Smoked Salmon is a highly favored treat and having lunch today with Smoked Salmon on Sliced French Bread with Mayo was NOT a very good substitute.

Well my chickens are providing me eggs daily which I sell and eat whenever I wish.

There is nothing wrong with that I think if you have chickens that can produce you egg it's very good but for me I do buy egg from my neighbor poultry farm

I know eggs are also expensive in my country, I have chickens so I don't buy eggs and besides that I live in the countryside and some neighbors often give me eggs when they have too many, maybe that is why i don't feel rich when I eat an omelet

Substitute mayo for cream cheese? NO WAY! It's seven people in my household. We hide food from each other. LOL. The cost of groceries is ridiculous! It's so bad now we don't even want to share with each other. LOL.

When you have hens, you might not feel the impact of the high cost of eggs.

Even though eggs are expensive we still try to keep some in the refrigerator because they are quick and easy to cook. You can eat them for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

If buying egg has become unbearably expensive, then try rearing hens so you could afford eggs without going through unnecessary expenses.

I have 5 words for this, Keep a hen or two. They will lay eggs for free and you dont even need to buy feeds, just feed them kitchen trash. Feed her meat too since protein will make her lay more eggs.

Exactly, everything has gone up not just about eggs. it is never easy again for the low level. earners now in the country

And the funny thing is that eggs is too nutritious for someone to say he or she would completely avoid. Especially if you have kids. You must buy it no matter how expensive it is.

There was a bird flu a while back and they had to kill a lot of chickens.

I think even otherwise, they kill a lot of chickens daily for non-vegetarians. Poor little chicken.
