Re: How hard are you hit with inflation?

Mikelo wrote:"When I was a kid" story aside. Almost everything is skyrocketing lately, can you imagine what I bought yesterday only for the price to double up today  at the same store !

Maybe this and that store is taking advantages of the current sad inflationary reality to increase the price of particular products. A few weeks ago I saw the shameful increasing price of Amazon walnut milk (a particular milk for allergic people) from 14 reais to 19. It was made by the nearest to my house supermarket. I think it's very disrespectful towards allergic people not any more in condition to purchase their milk. But it's also possible the supermarkets increase the prices of some products to not face a failure. Unfortunately, at the end is always the weakest customer to pay the piper :x

The prices of commodities have left people wondering what's going on. Even a simple maize meal has risen with a 67% increase.
We're having elections today so the politicians are saying they'll offer solutions in exchange for our votes.
Corruption and mismanagement have led to inflation being so severe in our country.

Its rising like snake head and everytime I try to find balance between my earnings and spendings this inflation hits me badly and it's the Governments policies to raise the tax to pay their burden which they took from IMF

Vegetables price have really shot up, all because of the high transportation cost amid fuel price hike.

The chinese restaurant in my town replaced their handmade egg noodles with instant ramen. They just added toppings but they cant fool me. I order beef noodles to get authentic hand made noodles and not instant ramen with toppings.

veggies aren't clawing the sky here due to easy transport although not all there are some which has to be transported from far distance but its still palatable compare to others

Its is easy for me to differentiate authentic Chinese egg noodles to instant ramen.
egg noodles are yellow and the noodles are more straight or waivy. Their texture is more aldente. there are also different textures. There are white hand made noodles too but their texture is still straight.

Instant ramen are super curly. They got saggy after 10 minutes.

I will go Karen if i am promised hand made noodles but I get instant ramen.

The chinese restaurants that uses instant ramen do avoid inflation of price are scammers

I am experiencing this with most of the products and they are destroying the quality and selling at old price so it's not good for anyone and bad for the reputation of the brand.

I'm trying to fit myself in this guys shoe but I couldn't think of a better solution. It's either they reduce their quality or retain the quality and inflate the price

I'm confused totally as regards current inflation in the country because I find it very hard to save money. Once I have money on me I would not know how it would be disbursed to unplanned expenses.

Sometimes I prefer inflating the price than lose the quality and quantity.
