This is the second person that used the GoAskAlice account to die. All these deaths makes me feel how short life is because Many of the Mylot members who died, I talked to them, had arguments with them and had conversations with them as I grow up. I am not active but the death announcements keeps on coming.

Same here. I guess the more people you meet, the more inevitable it is to hear sad news like these.
Also, quite a few deaths in a relatively short time. I wonder if Covid is involved, at least indirectly, as the healthcare sector is constantly overloaded. :(

Andrew was having problems, a few years ago he was told to give up flying. Something about the circulation in his legs if I recall correctly. He disappeared from myLot November 1st, November 4th he sent me this on facebook: "I've been pretty crock for last few days with bad legs. Now have been admitted to hospital for IV drip for two or three days. Everything seems rather vague." 5 days later he was dead. He joined myLot 10 days after me in October 2006, we had a long history together.

Is there a new GoAskalice now? That account now have a long history as 3 admins run it throughout the years. Hope the people will warm up to whoever the next admin is.

Yes, and it is not me although someone there seems to think it is.

A rumor as old as time itself, as though someone that raises as much hell as me would be made the Admin.

JJ isn't going to leave his retirement time to check myLot or any site as workload.
I am not retire, but I have other works.
So Admin would be only full time employee.

So sad to hear about this... Seems like I have been out for a very long time...

You often take your time to explain the rules to new users, tell about the features and suggest posts by the Administration, makes sense some believe you're an Admin. Then both you and the new GoAskAlice write "Admin" with a capitalized A, not many do. Coincidence?

No, proper English actually. There is an admin of a site, but he is addressed as the Admin, just as there is a president of the USA but he is addressed as the President.

Oh I see. Not many members use proper English, could still be you.
And now I remember you only follow members of the "elite". Thinking about it now, it's a smart thing to do as you can see their activity more quickly and suggest their discussions to others. Another "clue" that can make new users think you're an admin (yeah, one of many this time, lowercase).

It also prevents people being able to 'suggest' posts to me (by not following them). I've always had to habit of scrolling the Most Recent Discussions list so I see every discussion posted, so no need to follow anyone to see what discussions they start. I like to be able to see what 'Alice' is doing with one simple click, so using All Activity of Followers (since I only follow official accounts) shows me any response or comment they have made to anyone recently.

Yes, I stalk Admin.

As I returned to myLot, I am still slow, yet it is good to be back; I use a part of my time to keep my account active.
And yes, I do not worry about grammar there.

People that wish to join myLot should really first make sure they are eligible to be paid through PayPal since it is the only payment processor myLot uses. PayPal forbids several countries from receiving payment through them, and myLot is not responsible for people who join that are not qualified to be paid. The lists of countries are available here: https://www.paypal.com/ga/webapps/mpp/ua/residence-full

I've more or less abandoned the site for a bit, probably until after the first week of January. Pretty much everyone is trying to make it into something like facebook or Twitter and I'm personally sick of the crap.

I am tired of Facebook and very rarely I go there nowadays, it is a vanity fair and people use it to show the world a fake person. It is a waste of our precious time.

So I would hopefully see you more in action on Mylot now. We are missing JJ now a days. I just hope that he comes back in action there.

I'm on a break from MyLot but have not decided if it temporary or permanent. But I'm done for the year 2021. I'm working on some other online projects and my son says he's going to teach me how to trade better. We'll see,
