Yes. he had been ill for quite some time. I don't know about 'veteran' but he had been there 6 years. He was a real nice guy.

Oh no! I know who you are talking about. No wonder I did not see him any more. He was very very sick. But he was also spirited and lively in conversation. Sorry to hear this. But thanks for letting us know.

I know I have encountered Alfredo there and he said to one of my discussion that he was actually gay... May he sail smoothly to the other side...

I read about Alfredo, he was a very nice guy and he will be missed. I didn't know that Great Martin was his partner, he is also a very nice man.

Great Martin is/was not Alfredo's partner. Martin is from Florida, Alfredo was from New Hampshire. Alfredo's partner is named Mike.
