You can make friends if you make sensible replies to discussion of active people.

It is quite easy to make friends there, as long as we are active and comment on other's discussions they will get to know us soon. Avoid polemic topics like politics and religion and all will go well.

I know Mylot have a rule that disallow people to promote their own Youtube video but there is a loophole on that. Just made a discussion relating to your video and don't tell them its your video. Post it like the people who links viral videos and News videos on their discussions.

Actually there is no reason to do that. Nothing on myLot prevents you posting your own video unless you are earning from that video. Almost every video I post is self-generated.

And I would not call lying a 'loophole'.

And with an extra hour of pay this month I can probably make an additional $0.0008 or so. :$: :D

18$ from mylot alone wow, that is good earnings ,how long do you spend in a day to make some reasonable income?

I pop in and out a few times every hour for most of the day, I'm retired so I have quite a bit of time to kill

Good idea I am still learning to have a good work done ,because from my end I see it being a bit different compared to other forum sites am involved in.

I know some users who posted their own videos and they mentioned it in the discussion and they weren't banned.

Maybe that is the reason why they weren't banned

Thank you for this great idea. I can share my daughter's video on myLot too. Just need to think of a good way on how to do it.

Very easy to do really, just write a short synopsis of what we are going to see in the video. Maybe something about what the occasion is and where it happened, etc.

I will do that. Thank you for the input. The electricity was just restored a few hours ago and I hope there will be no more power outage in our place at least until the end of the year. We were powerless for almost a week after the typhoon.

There are some users that use their own videos in the discussions they write. One example is Faye, sometimes she puts her videos reviewing some products.

I am still looking at how others are doing it. I don't want to lose my account because of some rules that may not be clear to me. I need to find Faye. I haven't seen her writings as of yet. Thank you Nela.

There is only ONE rule about it. The video may NOT be monetized. If the video makes you money in any way then you may not post it.

I have never thought about adding videos to mylot posts. I don't have my own videos to add but I can try that sometimes.

2 years ago I was an active mylot user and I was well quoted too. But I never earned a single cent and I'm sure this inconvenience is due to the fact I live in latin America. In fact, all latin americans signed up before me went away and I didn't find any active latin american at all. Finally, I quitted mylot, as unfortunately it turned for me only wasting time I could spent in a worldwide paying ptw :( .

Um...what do you mean "I never earned a single cent". Do you mean you never cashed out? Because if you were active on myLot, your bank did indeed accumulate some pennies. What was your username there?

No dear friend, I didn't accumulate anything. My balance was always zero in spite of whatever activity and appreciation by other users. I simply suppose latin America is not the best welcomed area into mylot :(

ps: my username was always Pousinha as here

There is $0.0218 in that account, log in and look at the top right corner (if you are on a phone, click the $ sign and then choose the option "Earning Summary"). I've been there 14 years and no one that has been active has ever earned 'nothing', earnings have nothing to do with where anyone lives. https://www.mylot.com/Pousinha

Mylot works everywhere and as long as you are active you will always receive your credit, are you sure the site was Mylot? What was your username? I am a member for some years now.

This is news to me as well but it's worth knowing. I don't make video content but that doesn't mean I won't in the future! There's clearly things we don't know about MyLot!
