I don't think so, I think it should be cheaper but making it free doesn't look like a great idea. Internet is sort of the main stream of income source for service providers also. They can gradually lower down the service rates and see how it goes.

That would be a big boon to have internet free! But it is next to impossible as , today it is the internet only which is connecting the people, keeping their business alive, helping them in their IT activities! That way we are paying very less for the internet for the services which we are getting out of it!
