Binance to cease operations in the European Union

Postby mrki444 » Yesterday, 20:23

If you want to operate in the European Union with cryptocurrencies, you must meet the requirements of the MICA regulation - EU Licensing For Virtual Asset Providers & Crypto Exchanges. Unfortunately, Binance has not met the requirements, and users will receive a notice that they must withdraw their funds to other platforms or they will lose them by closing their accounts. It is not known exactly what conditions Binance failed to meet, but this news has been confirmed.

Yes, I read the news. I think it is their loss and not Binance. Binance is the world's number one exchange platform based on users and trading volume

True. EU allow millions of migrants go in without proper paper but don't allow their citizens trade with crypto.

What is expected to pay a crypto invoice for EU user? What he does exactly? Do a non custodial wallet address?
Like the warning in Rewarble says:
Remarque : Les paiements en cryptomonnaie sont actuellement interdits dans l'UE en raison de la réglementation européenne. Nous vous remercions de votre compréhension et espérons pouvoir proposer ces services à l'avenir.

Rivals that have already received European licenses have used Binance's problems as an opportunity to attract users. BitPanda and OKX have already seen an increase in users from the Union.
