I almost feel like I'm stepping on a land mine here, but I just thought I might suggest that rather than arguing on a game site, just use the thumbs down button when it should be used. If someone is not playing according to the rules, that would be the quickest way to let them know you object without any confrontation.

Most members don't seem to realize that you can see how the general membership views your content by paying attention to your reputation points in comparison to your total volume of posts. Just divide your rep points by your posts to see your own percentage. Call it your score.

The average member on this site has earned a 10.4% score with this formula. Many have scores well above that. If your own score is below that, you should realize you need to improve your own content. No one has to be confrontational at all. Just pay attention and do better in your future posts.

With that said, I suppose I have to ban yugocean for not playing by the rules.

My rep point score is almost 15% of my total posts so I am not guilty according to your calculation
However I have to ban you @oldguy according to rules although your post is very much reasonable

This game really is for fun and we ban each other for all sorts of ridiculous reasons. I've had so many laughs from reading some of these posts

I ban @sprite1950, for scolding @OldGuy, on doing some good research with the system!
But to address, @OldGuy, I would be glad to give out negative reputation points to offenders, but often times, what I find is...

1. They start a fight in my PM's or in public, regarding my decision to give them bad rep on their crappy content.....

OR

2. They downvote several of my posts in retaliation, taking away my ForumCoin, while also ruining my rep score (which currently is above 30%).

So, I try to be very judicious in handing out negative reputation, and most often, try to use the report function, if it was a serious violation (which in this case, while annoying was not serious)!

I ban neuralnet because he told me off for scolding OldGuy I totally agree about the retaliation issue if you give out a negative rep. You can report posts anonymously by hitting the exclamation button next to the quote box which may seem a bit sneaky but it saves a whole of of hassle.

To be honest I don't know that I deserve all the rep points I have .. I love having them and I'm really grateful for them so I take this opportunity to thank everyone who has given them to me

Bending the game rules and banning @OldGuy, @suny, @sprite1950, @nela13, and @neuralnet because your comments in this thread and elsewhere on FC prove that you're all terrific and worthy of whatever Reputation Points you receive. As the unofficial Queen for a Day, I banish anybody who uses the Reputation Points system for retaliation purposes. It's a symbolic banish. But so what!! I'm a symbolic Queen!
