Meh,
Asking me which is my favourite song is like asking a parent which is their favourite child. I can't pick one.

This is how I feel. My mood will decide which is my favourite song of the moment. When I am sad I love Sarah Mclachlan, In The Arms of the Angel and I must admit I tend to go more for ballad type songs generally.

My favourite song is from the album Metallilca

"For Whom The Bell Tolls"

Make his fight on the hill in the early day
Constant chill deep inside
Shouting gun, on they run through the endless grey
On they fight, for they're right, yes, but who's to say?
For a hill, men would kill, why? They do not know
Stiffened wounds test their pride
Men of five, still alive through the raging glow
Gone insane from the pain that they surely know

For whom the bell tolls
Time marches on

I like the songs of the Tamil poet Subramanya Bharathiyar who wrote and sang lots of songs during the freedom struggle in India to motivate the Indians. One of those which impressed me very much is the song "Velli pani malayin meethulavuvom melai kadal muzuthum kappal viduvom", which was written when the Britishers were charging the Indians exorbitantly for travelling in their ships during their rule in India and when the Indians bought their first ship to protest against this. These lines used to make me proud to think about my ancestors who took so much pain to relieve the country from the clutches of the British.

It's really making us proud if the song talks about how we love our own country despite of the oppression they have experienced. Its shows heroism and ntionalism.

The song " For whom the bell tolls " from the band Metallica belongs to the genre of thrash metal. I am sure definitely you will like that song when you watch the song in the video along with its meaning
