Radio Vibes => The End of an Era: HT Media Pulls Radio One Off Air

Postby ptrikha21 » 21 Jun 2026, 18:10

HT Media has officially taken India's flagship English music radio station, 94.3 Radio One, off the air along with Radio Nasha and Fever FM across multiple metros.

The company voluntarily closed these five stations because high license fees, digital competition, and rigid content restrictions made them financially unviable.

Listeners express immense disappointment as the frequencies go silent, highlighting a deepening economic crisis within India's private FM sector.

According to reports by "BestMediaInfo", the industry now faces an urgent need for structural policy reforms to ensure long-term survival.

I used to hear a lot on Radio One (94.3) and well, for a few days I was unaware and frustrated that I could not hear the station.
Then I found this news link.
Many others too used to listen to this India's International station for English songs - both recent and retro.
