Netflix Wants Warner Bros

Postby germainebull » 22 Nov 2025, 05:38

Fam. Imagine Netflix now has a plan to grab Warner Bros Discovery. This is like a heavyweight fight of the entertainment industry. News says Netflix has placed a bid to buy Warner Bros' studio and streaming biz and Paramount and Comcast are also in the race. Netflix has promised that if it wins the deal, it will honor Warner Bros' agreement to continue releasing movies in theaters before they go streaming.

Now this is interesting because Netflix often likes to send content direct to its platform without disturbing the theater. But for big directors like Denis Villeneuve and Ryan Coogler, this is a big assurance that their work will still be shot on the big screen. Warner Bros has had a good year in 2025 with hits like Superman and Minecraft and that makes the studio a hot cake for bidders.

If Netflix gets this deal, imagine the content machine will be crazy. You will get a mix of WB classics and Netflix original series all in one house. But there are still competition issues and regulators to see if this consolidation will not destroy the market. For now, we wait and see who will emerge the winner. This is a true corporate world drama and we fans are waiting for the popcorn already.

I suspect that if Netflix make more acquisitions that there will be more content available on my Netflix subscription.

If this happens, will that lead to a merger of HBO Max and Netflix?I just hope that Warner Bros. remain independent because I don't want Warner Bros. to merge with any company, especially that they're doing well now in the box office. And there are many HBO Max shows that are doing well in HBO Max but will get cancelled if it's in Netflix.

Man! Netflix has a habit of cancelling shows mercilessly and that has left many fans disappointed. Imagine you start investing your feelings in a series and then suddenly they cancel without closure. They have been doing this repeatedly because of data and costs and they like to push fresh content all the time. But the truth is that this move makes people lose trust in them. Fans are left saying there is no need to start a new show because it can just be canceled.

This is one of the reasons I don't jump into any new series or trending one for that matter, i always wait till it has been concluded first before i watch.

Netflix finally owns Warner Bros. And I hope that this is not going to ruin DC Comics, this is not going to ruin Mortal Kombat, this is not going to ruin HBO Max, but probably HBO Max and Netflix might merge. It makes me worry a lot because I hate censorship and, you know, my favorite HBO Max shows might get censored. Here are some guarantees though, those Snyder Bros., ha ha ha, Snyderverse will not be restored because Netflix hates Zack Snyder. What worries me is they might not release movies in theater anymore. Warner Bros. have been performing in box office last year, and even this year. So I worry that, you know, they might end up on Netflix earlier, or worse, they will stay on Netflix. They will stay on Netflix. What worries me about Netflix is so many shows get canceled faster.

I will be interested to see if Netflix will do longer cinema runs as most of their films only get a very limited run in the cinema.

The Annoying Snyder Bros needs to shut up now because their universe will never be restored. Netflix just renewed the contract of James Gunn and they don't like Zack Snyder. They cancelled all of the movie projects of Zack Snyder on Netflix. They don't like the guy.

This feels like one of those industry moments where everything shifts at once. If Netflix pulls it off the mix of franchises and originals will be massive. The tricky part is how regulators react because stacking that much content under one roof always raises eyebrows. Until then it is all speculation and a bit of popcorn talk.

Supergirl is a space adventure with a sci-fi vibe and intense action. Its story revolves around a heroine fighting for justice while flying across galaxies and battling cosmic enemies. China also has a huge obsession with space exploration and often loves this type of content. Fans find inspiration in the themes of bravery and technology. Supergirl combines fantasy and science and makes the audience feel like they are on an interstellar journey. This connection of space and entertainment remains very popular.

Right now, the Snyder Bros are attacking Supergirl so bad, they're bullying the actress, but the actress keeps quiet because she knows that if she fights back, she will suffer the same fate as Rachel Zegler.

I understand your concern. Unfortunately, cyberbullying against actors and actresses is an ongoing problem in the entertainment industry. What you describe reflects how toxic behavior from fans can put artists in a difficult position; if they speak up, they react, and if they remain silent, the bullying continues. Rachel Ziegler's experience shows how quickly criticism can escalate into organized attacks, and it's natural for another actress to fear similar treatment.

Netflix’s quick cancellations do make people hesitant to start new shows, because no one wants to get attached and be left without an ending. That definitely hurts viewer trust.

Snyder Bros are delusional that Paramount will restore their Snyder Bros, so it's not gonna happen. And Netflix doesn't like Zack Snyder, so it's also not gonna happen. But I want it to end with Netflix. And, you know, HBO Max, and that should remain separate anyways.
