Which Superhero have the best "Family"

Postby Netherrealmer » 02 Feb 2025, 19:25

Whenever a Male Superhero gets popular, They will make a female version of him, A younger boy of him and younger female versions of him. This forms the Bat Family. The Bat Family is composed of Batman, Dick Aka Nightwing (The original Robin), Red Hood Aka Jason Todd (2nd robin) Batgirl (Commissioner Gordon's daughter), Tim Drake (3rd Robin), Damian Wayne (Batman's son with super villain Tahlia Al Ghul), Huntress (Batman's daughter to Catwoman,) Catwoman (Batman's love interest), Batwoman (Batman's lesbian cousin)

Superman is given a family too but a Literal one, He have his wife Lois, His Cousin Super Girl, His clone Superboy and his Son Jonathan.

Marvel dont want to feel left out... So they gave Spiderman a Multiverse version of him. We got the Spiderverse who are versions of Peter Parker in different dimensions. All of them Are Peter Parker except from Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy who are from dimensions where Peter Parker died.

Hulk is also given a family, It started with his Cousin She-hulk, A-Bomb a random teenage boy who ends up into a Blue Hulk, His almost father in Law Redhulk, His lovechild from an Alien planet Skaar, His lover Betty Ross who became Red She-Hulk. Betty use to be a damsel in distress until marvel decided to make her a hero too.

Wolverine is also given a Family, His Clone X-23 who he adapted as daughter, she now uses the name Wolverine and he uses Logan now. Daken is his son to a Japanese woman hundreds of years ago (Wolverine is immortal), Daken was evil but he teams up with his Dad and Sister now. Daken has powers to seduce both men and women. he uses his powers to kill people. Honeybadger is a child clone of X-23.. Technically she is Wolverine's grand daughter but he hates her because he saw a future where she kills X-23. So Logan doesnt get along with Honeybadger

The Bat Family is is an epitome of the age-old contest between women and men.
I am of the view that it is not necessary to create a female version of a popular hero.
My two cents.

To be fair not everyone in Bat family are Bats. The Robins are birds and Catwoman is a cat.

I have never believed or appreciated a creation of female version of the superheroes. One can come with original female superhero.
Well, giving families to these superheroes is interesting. Somewhere also validates our social belief that family is important. Not matter, even if you are a super hero with super power, family matters.

Why would Dick Aka Nightwing (The original Robin) and Red Hood Aka Jason Todd (2nd robin) called a family? They are close parts of team but they not blood related. They are not in relationship with Huntress.

Superman has his cousin in the same universe but a different planet...that leads to the exploration of the extended family.

Wonderwoman actually have her own family.

Image

The 2nd one is Yara, Who is her replacement, she is not part of the family but somehow she is added on this photo. She have nothing to do with the Amazons from Thymiscra as she is from Brazil. The Black one in gold is Nubia, One of her Amazon Sisters.

Woman in Black outfit is Donna Troy, she use to be an ordinary girl who idolizes Wonder Woman. Amazons adopted her. She is human turned Amazon.

Red head in ponytail is Artemis- She is Wondwe woman's trainer, she trained all Amazons. She appeared in the movie.

short hair ginger and Blonde girl are both Cassie Sandsmark- Wonder woman's sidekick. Being Immortal is lonely so she adopted a girl. She was ginger as a teen and blond as adult.

The man is Jason- He is Wonder woman's twin brother. Amazons are sexist. If they give birth to sons, they send them to hades and sell them from slavery. Jason starts as a super villain since his mother sold him for slavery but he is now in good terms with his sister. They didnt call Jason Wonderman, because Marvel beats DC on that name. So DC just call him Jason, the male Amazon.

Not sure if this count but maybe The Incredibles deserve a mention.
They’re a close superhero family. No secret identities from each other and also they are blood related.

The superhero with the best family is that who can count of members to provide him/her support whenever needed.
I hold that the assurance that your family members will always step in to help is priceless.

No not part of marvel or dc but there is no denying the fact that they make a great super hero family, not to mention the fact that they are an actual family.

What do you mean by 'they are an actual family'?
If so, it would be interesting to watch them in action.
A to-do thing for me.

The Bat family looks dysfunctional but they are quite admirable to me.

Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl are actually married and have been able to build one of the most closely knitted families among the superheroes.

I think most people do not count the Incredibles because they are not from comic books. They're movie originals. So they don't have an ongoing lore. Once the movie ended, their story ended. And they'll probably be forgotten in 10 years. The so-called superhero families are, you know, have a long history, like the Superman family that has been around for a long time, or the Bat family that has been built around decades.
