Do you have a favourite Christmas movie?

Postby Jem Smith » 09 Nov 2024, 02:03

I know it's only November, but I'm looking for suggestions for Christmas movies to watch as it gets closer. Do you have a favourite? Or just one you'd recommend?

Personally I'm fond of A Muppet Christmas Carol, Home Alone, Die Hard and It's a Wonderful Life.

Black Christmas which is a Christmas horror slasher where the killer kills in 1st person camera, making the audience feel like they are the killer. I think this movie inspired the 1st person perspective concept in videogames

Interesting suggestion. I've seen Black Christmas (the original and the more recent remake). I didn't like it much.

I'm almost a little shy to disclose my two faves for 2 reasons - they're not really Christmas movies. I love both because I grew up watching them at Christmas. 2. They're kiddie movies but they never get old for me

Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang <3

Yes, not really Christmas movies, but they are the kind of movies I can understand wanting to watch during the holidays. Since you mention it, it's been a long time since I saw Mary Poppins. Maybe I'll watch it again soon.

1. Home Alone - all 3 (I would rate first and second slightly higher).

2. The Christmas Chronicles (Netflix)

3. Die Hard - I and II (II slightly higher for me)

I suddenly remember something because of the plot twist.

Yeah, I've seen that one too. I liked it, thought it's not one I'd want to watch every year.
