He dont want to return as Iron man aka Tony Stark but he accepted to play the role of the Fantastic 4 villain Dr. Doom. It wont confuse fans if he plays a different role because Dr. Doom wears a mask anyway. The Avenger movies with Kang as villain will all be canceled because the Kang actor is in court dealing with his domestic violence case. I think he accepted this role because its a different character. I mean fans never noticed that Thanos and Cable were played by the same actor. So RDJ playing doom wont be making a difference.

I adore Robert Downey Junior. I could watch anything he does all day long. He's my one of my favourite actors of all time. Maybe he decided against returned to the Tony Stark role to avoid being typecast.

You know whats interesting about Doom, While most of the Marvel Universe, especially the Americans see Doom as a villain. People of Latveria, the country under his rule see him as a great leader because he improved their economy and technology. He is so nationalistic as a Latverian he is willing to screw the world for his country

I saw one Fantastic Four Movie and no more. So this new one would anyways be a novelty for me as I don't recall the previous one much.

2025 I think, Also Marvel is offering Tom Cruise to be a Multiverse version of Ironman. He was Marvel's original choice for Ironman back then but he refused. Robert Downey Jr. Who has a dead a career back then because he was fresh out of the rehab accepted Ironman and made him a superstar. Now RDJ is now Dr.Doom they will offer Tom Cruise to be Ironman again because Riri is just not selling

No, no! Keep Robert on both roles since Doom is like you say under mask. Are Iron Man in same universe as Dr. Doom and Fantastic Four? I don't remeber they interact in any movie so far.

Fun fact , he is being being paid 80 million dollars for both Doomsday and Secret Wars , and he also insisted Russo Brothers to return otherwise he won't take up the role . Atleast this is what I have heard

I hope the movies live up to the hype. Recently, the Marvel movies released are not that great. It would be interesting to see the overarching plot after they scrapped off the idea of Kang as main villain.

Yeah. I knew he was tired of the role. But I still wish they would have picked somebody else for the part. Only I can think of who.
