first Look at David Corenswet as Superman

Postby Netherrealmer » 28 Jun 2024, 18:12

He will have curly hair as Clark, I think its a smart idea because it makes him look like a different person. I find it stupid people dont recognize Clark is Superman by simply putting on glasses. The curly hair makes him super nerdy and looks like a different person.

Now this is him as Superman, The Black Guy next to him is Mr. Terrific, In the DC universe he is the 2nd smartest person in the world. He fights using drones.

I know Henry Cavill and Brandon Routh have better looking costumes but James Gunn wants superman to look Amateur in this film because its a college fresh graduate Clark. His costume is not yet expensive looking because its just sewn by his adaptive mom and he is new in this movie. He might get better costumes once he meets Batman or Supergirl. Though Supergirl is his cousin, there is rumor she might start as a villain.

In the Superman Anime, Supergirl is a villain:

I loved the Superman movies as a kid, this looks like an interesting take on it, hopefully I will get to see it in the near future.

I guess the change of having glasses and not having glasses is a feature enough to make people believe that is not the same person. Plus he also puts on a costume I guess and that makes him unrecognizable to the normal eye. The other feature off course is that Superman has super powers and Clark is just an ordinary guy who could hardly harm a fly.

Is it possible drone companys had fingers in making this action hero? Drone are more and more popular and best advertising is not paid advertising like this. Or the screenwriter simply fell under the influence of current technology?

This is Mr. Terrific's first live action portrayal, He is gay in arrowverse because Arrowverse is known to be woke. He is not Gay in comics.

DCU version will not be Gay

Arrow series was good in first few seasons and now you can't even follow where and when you are. They make it so complicated and cross it with other series it is to hard to track.
So Mr. Terrific is another nerd who become superhero. Directors must think about new trick how add new superheros.

I really don't get the superman vibes from David Corenswet. He is not as physically imposing to come across to me as a superman.

. I have never seen him play a lead role on a movie themed in heroism and vulnerability. Not a proper super man for me too.

I have never find him in a movie with that looks. However he stands out as superman with the new look. I hope to watch that movie too.

Who will play Supergirl? Maybe Robbie Margot but then she should lose role of Harley Quinn.

They cast Millie Alcock from House of Dragons because she can bring the Game of Thrones fans to theaters.

What I like is that his Clark and his Superman dont look like the same person which is problem with past supermans. I also like the idea his cousin Supergirl might start as a villain. I want to see these cousins fight.

A very vintage feel to it , really interesting.
Thought supergirl appearing as a villain seems quiet unlikely, she would be definitely aiding him

The idea that, while dressed for acting, Clark looks like a different person only confirms the fact that our grooming changes us, at least superficially.
I guess this is the reason why some con persons have a policy of dressing like business executives. This way, the con people fool their victims into believing that they pose no harm.

Sounds interesting. Can't imagine Supergirl playing a super villain. That would be a twist and intriguing. It's a prejudice that curly hair is nerdy, at least made to look in stories and movies. In real life, I know of friends with curly hair who were big time pranksters.
