Conversations With Great Minds of the 21st Century

Postby cmoneyspinner » 07 May 2024, 19:12

Do you ever dare to have a conversation with one of the great minds of the 21st century?

I do. It's one-sided though because the "great minds" I'm talking to never answer me back.

Who are the great minds? Well! They are usually well-known on "X" (formerly Twitter) and have people who follow them around because they have similar political views and are influential (like RFK Jr., Bernie Sanders, Robert Reich), or perhaps they are elevated to the status of a demi-god and believe they know all the answers (like Elon Musk, etc.)

I often go through my posts stream on "X" to see if I can find some thought-provoking content.

For example:
Elon Musk often shares his points of view and believes he is making profound statements that will SAVE THE WORLD. Here is one of his recent posts. He's on this trip about countries having low birth rates and he's certain that it will be The End of Civilization. The profound statement he made in this post was: "No humans, no humanity."

This is my response (which I'm sure Mr. Musk ignored).

"No humans, no humanity."
But we got a bunch of humans already.
Mass shooters, leaders who use chemical weapons on their citizens, religious groups who oppress their baby mommas, countries that still have slaves, etc.
Does it make you wonder why people don't want to have babies?

Here's another post. https://twitter.com/cmoneyspinner/statu ... 0574985538

Here's my response:
"the remains we see of the many long dead civilizations" Are you saying these #civilizations stopped existing because of low birth rates? #Question

Another example:
Robert Reich is another guy I like having one-sided conversations with. He's a political influencer. Here is one of his posts. https://twitter.com/cmoneyspinner/statu ... 1605110817

This is my response:
Don't prosecute a former POTUS?
Perhaps #WeThePeople could chase them out of the country or make them flee (like Marcos: Philippines) OR kill them on Xmas day (like Ceaușescu: Romania)?
YAH! VEE HAVE VAZE OF DEALING WIT PEEPUL LIKE THIS! YAH!
Should we explore #alternatives?

The Apostle Paul had a discussion with the Great Minds of his day when he walked up on Mars Hill. People wanted to know what "this babbler" would say. I thought it was interesting they used the description "babbler". Is it because they knew that's what they were doing anyway? Babbling. (Acts 17. 18) :D

As I read certain tweets/posts, I thought to myself ... since everybody's babbling, I might as well join in.

Do you also have (one-sided) conversations with the Great Minds of the day?

(NOTE: Sometimes the embedded content feature doesn't work, so I supplied the links and repeated my statements. Have a great day everybody! <3 )

I rarely tweet, but it is interesting that you can have conversations with well known people on Twitter. Even if they don't reply back, there is still the opportunity to learn from them by reading their posts and formulating our replies. Have you ever had a reply from a famous person on Twitter @cmoneyspinner?

 Absolutely not.
However ... True Story ... one time I left a comment on an article at Huffington Post (https://www.huffpost.com/). One of the editors invited me to a group chat to discuss the topic more. They said they thought my comment was insightful and were interested in more of my thoughts on the matter.

It was an awesome compliment. But at the same time, I was terrified! I did not have much experience being online and I was so scared of being invited to hang out with "important people" that I declined.

Here I am trying to be brave and speak my mind. Then I got invited to speak my mind and I backed down like a coward.

I think that's why I don't mind posting tweets. I'm pretty they'll ignore me.

Good for you cmoneyspinner, the Huffington Post missed out. Maybe you should offer to write an article for them, you'd never know, they might accept.

I am checking different sites that pay for articles. They usually show up on the lists. Right now I am writing Kdrama reviews and some of my reviews show up on IMDb. I write my opinion pieces on Medium. But I wonder if sites like Huffington Post might consider me. I am moving very slowly on this. Thanks for your feedback. You're always encouraging.

The business articles are loaded with news about Tesla and Elon Musk. I can't believe Texans got duped by this guy! Ah well! Guess we aren't as smart as the New Yorkers who were smart enough to convict Trump on all 34 counts.

(Don't mind my grumbling folks. I'm just talking to myself and have to get on a mountain and SHOUT IT OUT!! Forum Coin has become my mountain. )

********
Good morning beautiful people! I'm standing on the mountain again. Woke up today and there was a message in my eMail about AI weapons. I so I checked Twitter (no “X”) to see what was buzzing. I couldn't stop myself from shouting.

(OK! I feel better now. Happy Saturday! :D )
