The new Fallout show

Postby Jem Smith » 27 Apr 2024, 06:23

Have you seen the new Fallout TV show? If so, what do you think of it? Are you a fan of the games, or just the show?

I'm 5 episodes in and enjoying it so far. The thread about the game Stellar Blade in Computers, Gaming and Technology reminded me of some of the comments I've seen online where men complained about the series having a female lead. And then there was this edit a man did of the poster. He didn't like the way the body of the actual human actress (Ella Purnell) looked, so he edited it to give her ridiculously tight pants (so practical for survival in a post apocalyptic wasteland!) and a bigger bum.

Personally I like Lucy as a character. I also think Walton Goggins has done a fantastic job as the Ghoul.

I usually hate creating OG characters in videogame adaptations because of Self insert characters like Alice from those aweful resident evil movies and Gordon young from MK movies but I wont mind Lucy. FALLOUT is a gender of choice create a character game, so they are forced to make main character and Lucy is well written

I just watched entire show and never played a game. Show is good even first episode is more just entry to all charachters. At first I had idea entire show will be separated as first, but already in second episodes stuff come to regular.
When will see second season?

I don't know when it will be, but apparently a second season has been greenlit, which is good news. :)

Is it? She says "Okey Dokey", but other than that doesn't seem much like Flanders.

The actress said so in an interview. Most likely she did some spin of her own

Her personality have some issues. Like she get out of walt for first time and she hates how people are often eat by others but she without problem cut dead guy head.

Well, a) he was dead first and b) he had specifically asked her to do that so that's hardly the same as cannibalism. She wasn't happy about it either, she's just practical.

I hope knights will have more important role in next season. Currently they are just like some small army and nothing else.

It will be more with creator it self. You saw how that bad guy fly in armor to main base. Valut 68 and 69 are just test ground for experiments.
