I watched the movie Fast X with Vin Diesel and I can say that the scenes from this movie will serve as an example of incorrect physics in movies.


Right now we are working on the concepts of speed and acceleration, so this film came as ordered.

A car falling off and falling onto two other cars with neither bumper falling off is a perfect example of 'change in potential energy' and the 'law of conservation of energy'.



Driving vertically down with additional acceleration is an example of uniform accelerated motion and free fall. In this case, Vin Diesel does it better than a sphere with perfect density and shape.


I don't think the Myth Busters team would have been able to confirm a single scene.

It don't have to be big scientifc accuracy but it can be some. I think Vin Diesel should start teach his own physics and math. Book should be called: How calculate something for few seconds in head when engineers need months

While it may not be entirely accurate, these exaggerated scenes can still be entertaining to watch. However, it can be a fun exercise to analyse and discuss the inaccuracies in films like Fast X from a scientific perspective.

Are you really only bothered by this now, when they're up to the tenth movie? It's been like that the whole time (although it has gradually gotten worse).

Lots of movies have weird inaccuracies. I suppose it stands out more when it's your field that you know about. Like how my doctor friend always laughs at the mistakes in hospital dramas.

I watched almost all earlier movies (except number 9). I don't know why, but in this one I noticed so many impossible stuff and it really bothered me much more than before. Maybe because we learn the concepts of speed and acceleration this month.

I stopped trying to reason the science behind the things they do a very long time ago. The movie has practically turned them to gods who can do anything when in a car.

They maybe need still some time to become God but they can drive cars in space. I remember when people make jokes with Elon when he wanted send Tesla car in space.
