Korean Drama: Healer (2014-2015)

Postby cmoneyspinner » 20 Jun 2023, 21:09

This series - Healer (2014-2015) - slipped under my radar. But I picked up on a discussion thread in QUora saying it was controversial. So I went looking for it. But all the reviews I found were good stuff.

It is streaming on Viki.com and I started watching it. I like the storyline and the cast.

It has that cute little lady who played in Sungkyunkwan Scandal. She probably has had more roles but this is the second K-drama I have watched where she has the leading role.

Speaking of scandals, 2 of the leading actors in Sungkyunkwan Scandal are involved in their own personal scandals.
- Park Yoochun was convicted of drug abuse and he is struggling to make a comeback.
- Yoo Ah-in is also involved in drugs and might get banned from the entertainment industry.

That's too bad. I liked both of them.

I heard about this series back then, though i think it was more about a guy that fights something like that, can't really remember much about it though.

Sorry I'm late responding. I forgot this thread. "Healer" is a code name. The guy is like an errand boy and does "special jobs" for "special clients". One of the clients tries to frame him for a murder. That's when the plot thickens. Talk about twisted ties and lies. That show was awesome!

The guy is really good with the action scenes. But I also like the romance between him and the girl.

Ji Chang-wook, truly captivates the audience with his impeccable skills in action scenes. A fabulous script, perfect cast, wonderful direction and outstanding soundtrack has made Healer a huge success.

This guy has been around longer than I realized. Now that I know who he is, I look for K-dramas with him. He doesn't even have to be the lead actor.

The plot is so cool! He and his wife are both working undercover. Can you imagine how intense it has to be?
