In case you haven't seen the third STAR WARS movie,

it ends with The Emperor being thrown down a deep hole before he dies himself.

Then we had 'the prequels,' and then the sequels ruined that ending when

it was revealed that The Emperor--tho he had apparently died at the end of STAR WARS VI--actually 'survived' (or 'was reborn') and had secretly been 'all the evil voices in Kylo Ren's head' the whole time.

That started a whole series of 'failing to stay dead.'

the video lists Boba Fett, Cad Bane, Darth Maul ... and mentions The Black Knight from Monty Python & the Quest for the Holy Grail and 'doesn't mention' (well, 'SHOWS us while it says it's "not even mentioning"') Chewbacca, C-3PO, Leia after her suitless spacewalk, Kylo Ren, Rey and a few other characters that "probably died" and then returned to the cinematic universe.

Do you think it ruins some of the suspense when you know that no important character's death is necessarily "permanent"?

Well what we end up having is sorta better, They almost made Rey the reincarnation of Anakin but they change it because fans starts shipping her to Kylo.

When we talk about Star Wars and compete who knows more we say: Do you want movie order per release date or story timeline?

Now we will need a new category: per first death or second death (or something similar).

LOL. Why can't people let any of the stars stay dead? Why was Michael Jackson performing in Las Vegas? OK. It was a hologram. But still! The answer is that the fans don't want celebrities to die. It's probably the same with fictional characters that people like too! Also ... let's face it! There's a lot of money in this. Folks would not invest if they didn't think it was going to make lots of money!

They are doing great with their huge fan following. Fans are not happy when their favourite celebrities die and they make sure that they don't. I am not a fan of their movies but my husband and brother are crazy fans.

I agree. It's just business. Sometimes though ... I think the producers underestimate or misread the audience and think they can kill off a character. But it causes an uproar so they have to figure out how to bring the character back. But in The End though ... it's all boils to the money.
