In the culture-verse, we have Trendiness & Cheug (you stay trendy, but realize it's easier to stick with the trends you like & stop chasing the new trends; so the old trends descend into Cheug).
The word “Cheugy” is comes from a wordroot that means ... well, it's just 'a word that Zoomer ("Gen Z-er") Gabby Rasson made up when she was unsure how to describe "people or objects that were just a bit Out of Touch with Current Trends",' so it sounds like it might be built on Chewy (maybe the adjective, but probably the nickname for Chewbacca the Wookie from the STAR WARS-movies) or Choosy (the way Old-Fogies would choose Old Trends over the New Fads) or Ugly, Grudgingly, Edgy, Chunky, Cringey ... Shibby?
Urban Dictionary defines it as "the opposite of Trendy ... Stylish in Middle- or High-School, but out-of-style now," echoing/echoed by Cheuglife, who adds that 'the cheugy ones Follow those Out-of-Date Trends.'
But I do like they advise at the end of the above video---I OWN my Cheuginess and accept position of a Cheugster
