Defending the Lament of 'Ben Stein' (you know, the "Bueller? Bueller?"-Guy)

Postby friendociate » 22 Feb 2023, 17:35

Ben Stein's lament is that--in pursuit of 'that golden "Woke"-trophy'--an company changed its name and "cancelled" its beloved mascot---'robbing us' of a dear breakfast-companion.

But The Young Turks shame him for it!---implying that his lament must mean he's some kind of white-supremacist xenophobe!

Do you agree that TYT is being too agressive in their judgement?

That was a weird thing for him to be complaining about at all. They changed it because it was racist. Absolutely nobody is hurt by the change. I'm not a fan of Ben Stein anyway. His "Expelled" movie was atrocious.

Well, it's like 'when an uncle (who you see at family gatherings, but don't really talk to) passes away'---it doesn't "change your life" at all, but it's a slight scenery-change.

Ben liked that bit of scenery (which was ABSOLUTELY NOT racist), and the video was his way of grieving the loss.

& thanks for the warning about that movie
