THE ORVILLE is a live-action series 'modeled on STAR TREK' produced by- & starring the creator of FAMILY GUY, who's the captain of the starship with Lt. Gordon Malloy as its helmsman (or 'pilot' or 'driver' or whatever they call it).

I'm not giving any of the main conflicts away ... not even telling you what they call their version of 'The Federation!'; no, I'm focusing on the Lieutenant because I feel like his story--climaxing in these two episodes--is a lot like mine.

First, there's 'the last episode I saw for a long time' (and I guessed it was the last one aired, but it's only halfway through the second of three seasons) In it, Gordon--who had spent several of the previous episodes ...

falling in love with a woman who lived centuries earlier (via her video-diary)--is sent back in time, where he spends several years building a relationship & small family with her. But then The Orville goes back in time and steals him away, causing the relationship & children to have never existed (sad, but only erasing things that had never existed anyway).

Then I saw that all three seasons of THE ORVILLE were available for me to watch in one of the streaming services I watch, and I skipped ahead to the last episode of the third season ... I kept watching for Gordon to ...

go back in time---I thought maybe that whole time-travel plot was in the last 15-or-20 minutes, but the closest I saw was 'Gordon singing a song at the wedding of The Doctor and The Robot.

Hulu is part of Disney Plus outside the US so that means I have access of this show. Is this ongoing, ended or canceled.? I have trauma from ongoing shows.

I think it's ... let's not call it "cancelled," but 'Finished.' It's come to a good stopping place ... but then 'series that HAD come to a stop' are merely 'prequels to their continuing story' these days
