For Decades, Charles Martinet had been voicing Mario in videogames. He gave Mario his signature Italian accent. When Universal Studios made a deal with Nintendo to make a Mario movie, They cast Charles to play the role of one of the support characters. The Mario role is given to Chris Pratt instead. In Social media months ago Chris Pratt promised he will try to learn Italian accent to play Mario.

The Mario trailer is dropped and Mario doesnt sound Italian, He sounded like Chris Pratt when he plays Star Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy.



Another change they made, He is not going to rescue Princess Peach anymore. He is going to save Luigi instead. Princess Peach is now a strong and independent woman who can fend for herself. The point of hundreds of Mario Games is to either Rescue Princess Peach or Rescue Princess Daisy. None of the Princesses will be kidnapped anymore. So Luigi is the one who got kidnapped instead.

I can feel the sentiment about this concern. Even I, I would feel strange having the changes of Mario's voice over. It must be a frustrating moment for the actor to try hard on this matter.

Does Chris Pratt even have a range as an actor, he sounded like Chris Pratt on every single movie and tv role he have. He doesn't bother having a character.

Someone tried fixing the trailer by replacing Chris Pratt with Charles Martinet and it felt right.

Sometimes change voice idea will be a so bad idea since people will not be familiar with mario new voice and may quit the game or sometimes the idea is interesting for them.

I haven't watched any Mario film before. I better not watch the newer renditions of Mario as it is already looking so odd.
