Another Child friendly public domain character got exploited

Postby Netherrealmer » 25 Nov 2022, 12:36

If you think the horror Winnie the Pooh is crazy, Well A new child friendly character got corrupted. Heidi is a popular children's book about an Swiss/German orphan little girl who lives with her grandpa who is a goat farmer and cheese maker. She befriended a wheelchair bound girl named Clara and because Clara had fun time hanging out with Heidi and she breathes fresh air instead of polluted air in Heidi's farm Clara is able to walk again. She is also friend with a boy named Peter who herds goat.

Heidi's story is so timeless she had been first adapted into a movie starring the legendary childstar Shirley Temple.

TV Tokyo adapted Heidi into an Anime

Disney even made a Heidi movie:

Because Heidi is Public domain, some director decided to make an ultra violent action movie starring Heidi, She fights Nazis and zombies now because she is avenging the death of Peter, the goat herder friend of hers.

These young directors loves corrupting characters the moment they become Public domain. No Wonder Disney is trying their best to stop Mickey Mouse from becoming Public domain and the recent Disney Princesses are OG and not based from fairytales.

Why it is exploited? Heidi grown up. Meanwhile there was some virus leak from lab and everybody turned into zombi.
I don't see anything different in case when Casper grow and start 'flert' with girls.

I also noticed that they tend to change some stories that should not be. Even in my country. some characters were changed their personalities because of the modern era.

I think he is Public domain because its from 1894.

The Grinch is the latest victim

Mickey Mouse is going to be Public domain in 2024 but people can only use his 1930s appearance not his current design.

By 2024 you can make a restaurant with the 1930s Mickey mouse on it and Disney cannot sue you. :D You can sell 1930s Mickey Mouse products and Disney wont be able to do anything.
