Adam Sandler's recent comedy films suck because he hates what he does. He don't enjoy anymore but his career got invigorated when he started doing dramas.

In this Netflix movie Hustle, He is really good and people are now encouraging him to make more dramas.


Comedy can be dangerous, Remember Chris Rock recently got slapped in the face because of his comedy. Chris Rock wanted to transition out of comedy so he accepted a horror movie and he did great.


Kristin Wiig is a Comedy actress all of her life, So when she got the offer to play Wonder Woman's Nemesis Cheetah, she hesistates to accept it because its a serious character with sex appeal but she is able to remove all of her funny mannerisms to play a Nerdy scientist turned supervillain.


Despite of being overweight, having low stamina and lacking in athletic ability, Queen Latifah stars in a successful 2 season Action tv series. She always run out of breath in fight scenes but the show is successful enough to be renewed.



Jim Carey wanted to be taken seriously as an actor sadly box office is not great whenever he does serious movies. He gets praises by critics but people just love him in comedies. Its sad his retirement movie is Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

For me I don't see Jim carry as a funny actor and I do t k ow whyi just don't laugh at his movies. But even though I don't I know other people do so I can't judge his acting and movies. I can say that one should do what they love doing and not to listen to people's opinions that much.

Jim Carrey annoyed me when he was on In Living Color because he overdid the drama for the comedy and he did it again with How the Grinch Stole Christmas. It could have been a better movie if he didn't overdo it. Maybe other people like that? I don't know.

As far as seeing comedians in serious roles, it can happen if they can turn off their comedy movements or faces. For Jim Carrey I'm not sure that can happen.

Rowan Atkinskon played not that comic roles in such films as "Four weddings and a funeral" and "Never say never". Maybe Leslie Nielsen have to be mentioned also. He played serious roles in a part of his career and then switched to comic ones. "Naked gun", etc.
