Well he also exists in DC comics, He usually appears in Wonder Woman.



The difference of the DC thor, He is ginger instead of Blond, He is also have a bit of Belly fat while Marvel Thor have abs. I think When Marvel Thor got fat in MCU it was a tribute to DC Thor.

If you wonder why there is no lawsuit between Marvel and DC about Thor... Well Thor is a Public domain character. He was a God of the Norse Mythology.

There was a religion that use to worship him but they became extinct when they converted to Christianity.

Because Thor is Public domain, Anyone can make a movie about him as long as he wont look like the Marvel and DC incarnations.

In the videogame God of War, Thor is a villain.




This makes me think...... 100 years from now when religion becomes obsolete.... Jesus will become a Superhero.

I am more familiarized with the Marvel version of Thor, but now that you posted a picture of DC version I have already seen it too. I think Marvel is too powerful nowadays and its movies are a great success that is why we all know its Thor version.

Well, for me DC comics meant Superman and Batman - Superman was my favourite, and I never liked Batman. I used to read Justice League too, but never read any of Wonder Woman's, therefore, I didn't encounter Thor in DC comics I think. So, after all, there is one common character in DC and Marvel comics.

Okay that is really surprising, I'm a DC fan and I didn't really know that, but DC and Marvel do copy each other, I mean DC has Deathstroke, Marvel has Deadpool. And now DC has Thor, Marvel has Thor as well it's getting really annoying.

Deadpool is Marvel's parody of DC's Deathstroke.... Then DC decided to make a character named Deadtool as revenge. he have an open relationship with Harley Quinn.

DC has Thor because Thor is a character from Norse mythology, not invented by Marvel. Wonderwoman's backstory comes from Greek mythology, and as a demigoddess she sometimes meets up with other gods/goddesses, like Thor. Thor as depicted by DC actually looks a lot more like he's supposed to (as described in the Norse stories).

The religion is not extinct btw. There are people who practice Asatru (the polytheistic religion worshipping the Norse pantheon) today, just not very many.
