Squid Game just won Best Actor and Best Actress in SAG and also got nominated for Emmys not international Emmys but American Emmys.

@Netherrealmer - I picked up from your list. I started watching Start Up, Kingdom, and Vincenzo. Not on your list but worth watching is Designated Survivor. They made a Korean version about stuff that happens in The Blue House. I already watched the American version about stuff that happens in The White House.

The only one I've watched is called "Squid game" it is a horrifying story of a company that promise poor people a chance to win a great amount of money. But the twist is that when you lose their game you are getting killed in many ways.
Some people agree to die even after they realize thats the case, thats how desperate they are for money.
The films is showing us how horrifying the korean economy system may be.

I don't know if it's just the Korean economy. There are lots of folks who would be willing to risk dying to win a lot of money! They aren't exactly poor, but they're not rich either. Some people see an opportunity to get rich quick and they think it's worth the risk.

There's a story about a woman who drank herself to death because she was wining to win a Wii game console for her kids. It was a water-drinking and she died of acute water intoxication!

You would be surprised the risks people take with their lives to win something!

I just payed for another month of Viki. My original plan was to subscribe for one month and then cancel. But I was not able to watch all the K-dramas I wanted to watch so I am keeping it going for another month. Actually there are 2 Korean dramas I wanted to watch and they are not even on Viki. Jumong is one of them and Iljimae is the other. I will have to see if I can find another streaming site.

Three K-dramas, all on Netflix:
~ Alchemy of Souls, Season 2 (fantasy)
~ Under the Queen's Umbrella (historical)
~ Bad and Crazy (IT'S CRAZY!! )

Before Christmas, I also watched a movie called "Swing Kids". That was a tough movie to watch. The ending broker my heart.

Yes. I have heard a lot of good reviews about this series. It's on Netflix so I can add it to my list.

LOL. There are some K-dramas I have watched more than once.

The thing is that there are some I want to watch but I have to carve out some time for them because they are 50+ episodes!
