I think I get it (on my VIZIO smart TV) by including HBO on the cable-package I get packaged with my Internet & land-line (and attached devices' service).

In these days of streaming TV, we often watch shows when we get around to it. It might be the same week that an episode airs, or we might wait until several episodes are available and binge watch the whole thing.

This show has been different -- we impatiently until Sunday evenings for the new episodes to drop so we can watch them! It has become our "appointment TV".

Without giving spoilers for people who aren't caught up on the show, I'd just like to state that episode 3 made me cry.

I can remember back when EVERY show was like that (because--if you weren't at the TV when it aired--you weren't going to get to watch it unless it came back in reruns).

Now, my "appointment TV" is PICARD (Thursdays on Paramount+).

I'm one of those people who is watching The Last of Us without having ever played the game. I'm curious about how true to the game the series is, or has it been somewhat irritating for the players? There was a moment in episode 5 where I wondered if something was a re-enacted scene from the game, where lots of mushroom-zombies poured out of an opening in the ground, including one gargantuan zombie that seemed resistant to being shot.

The changes I remember:

The gay couple from episode 3 are not the loving relationship on tv. On the game their relationship is toxic that Frank runs away, got bitten and took suicide. Bill is alive left alone and lonely but safe because of his traps. Then Ellie stole is his gay porn magazine.

Sam, the younger brother is not deaf and his age is close to Ellie. There are even hints that their relationship could have been romance had he not die.

When the first game was released, Ellie was not really intended to be a Lesbian. She was designed and inspired from then "Ellen Paige" but Elliot came out as a gay so they turned Ellie into a lesbian in the prequel dlc left behind as tribute. Elliot came out as trans and is now a man but I don't think they will follow suit Ellie to that.

I wondered why no one on the show wore masks! It seemed like that would be a smart thing, especially with what we know today. I can understand why the actors begged to not have to wear masks though.

I've noticed that in the last few episodes, we haven't seen a single cordyceps (except in flashbacks to the past). Instead, the "monsters" that the protagonists have to worry about are other people. That's the real thing we have to worry about if civilization falls, isn't it? It's not some fictional dangerous creature, it's each other.

I liked how they had the actor who plays Joel in the game showing up as a guest star in episode 8 of the TV series.

One episode left of this season and it doesn't feel like there's been enough!

Hope season 2 will be a Prequel for the part 2 of the game. I am not yet ready for part 2 to be adapted and Bella needs some puberty before she can play an adult Ellie. Also fans hates the Part 2 because of one character....

This is Abby, this character is so hated her face model for the game and her voice actress got death threats.Heck the children and husband of the actress and face model got death threats too. I will talk more about her once the finale is aired. She is just darn hated and I do not want her on tv yet. I hope season 2 will be events before the sequel.

People are now speculating Shannon Berry will be playing the controversial character Abby.

Joel is going to be killed by a Steroid using ugly character named Abby, To make it worst the 2nd game tried making Ellie the "villain" of the story, as in you will play as Abby to fight Ellie in a boss fight.

Fans hated Abby so much they send death threats to her voice actress and her face capture model.

This series is like a mind game, the back story is so emotional and it boarders on real and critical situations that we need to make decisions on. After looking at the Trailer i would have to say that the two characters are just fine in my opinion.

This is HBO Max Number one show again. I now worry for the safety of the actress that plays ABBY.

I used to get HBO when we had cable TV. Since then I don't get HBO because it's too expensive where I live. Even so, it was never my GO TO place for entertainment.
