It looks like Kate Winslet decided to keep aging

Postby Netherrealmer » 13 Apr 2023, 09:13

Most actress her age either pays all the money in the world to stay young via surgery or lets go of delicious food and have a raw vegan lifestyle to look young. Kate Winslet(Rose from Titanic) decided to get old so she gets the roles Meryl Streep and Helen Mirren gets. I think a simple botox can make her look 30 and get romantic roles but she is done with those roles.

She decided to age so she can get roles like this:

A Powerful villainous dictator politician who spreads terror to Europe. Roles like this are very award bait so she wants to get these roles.

It is her choice and that won't make her less interesting. Meryl Streep looks much better than other actresses of her age that had gone under beauty surgeries or treatments, some even look weird now and while Meryl and Helen are still called to be the protagonists of many films, others have completely fallen into oblivion.

Actors and actresses feel pressure to maintain a youthful appearance as they age. This pressure can come from many sources, including fans, the media, and industry executives. However, some performers, like Winslet, have spoken out about the importance of embracing the natural aging process and rejecting unrealistic beauty standards.

Kate Winslet is REAL, and I'm glad she's decided to grow old gracefully <3 It's exactly the type of life choice I'd expect from someone like her. To be fair, British actresses don't generally get caught up in looks and image. They much prefer to keep it real.

It's her choice and I think it's better than surgery. Surgeries have side effects so she decided to keep it real. That's a good thing. I admire her even more now.

I don't mind surgery as long as they are not overdone and they are honest about it.

Kate Winslet can accept aging but it looks like Korean women refuse to age. I am watching Korean dramas and I notice there is this stick the ladies pull out of their purses. They always rub it over their face and their necks. Apparently, it gets rid of wrinkles.

As simple botox can make her look 30 but she refuse it. She is determined to get old.

I don't mind if it's something I can rub on the outside like a lotion or a cream. But I do not like injections. I get squeamish round needles.

Might as well. Honestly, I see celebs who had "nip and tuck" and their appearance is very unnatural.

I mean you can see the puffy checks, the forehead skin pulled back, etc. Some of the plastic surgeons aren't that good. When they mess you up it's awful!

If I'm going to do that for my vanity, I would prefer a non-surgical option. If the non-surgical doesn't produce results then ... forget about it!

She's going to get old no matter what (unless she drops dead). You mean LOOK old.

Good for her. It's nice to see some older women on screen who look more like the women I know and admire in the real world. There are still plenty of young actresses if you want to look at young women.

Same. I'd rather not get needles in my face unless there's a medical reason for it, thanks.

Dame Maggie Smith has departed. 1934-2024
Now she is an actress who aged on camera.
The older she got the more people praised her.
She will be missed. <3

I like Kate Winslet because she has never tried to shape herself according to the extreme "beauty standards" expected of celebrities.

I never see male actors receive as much backlash for getting older as women in the same professions do. Why are the standards so different? It's very sad, nobody can stop time just for vanity, yet it seems to be an expectation that women should try their hardest to.

Male actors do have plastic surgery and botox too but they are more discreet about it since men can keep their youthful longer than women just by diet and exercise that's why when a man have surgery people are less sus

Whether male or female, I can usually spot "nip and tuck". That skin-pull (that's what I call it) look unnatural.

By the way, I now know what the gradual the aging process looks like. I held up my arm the other day and I could see crepe skin. I have hold up my arm to see it. But one day ... it will be clearly visible TO EVERYONE!!

I guess that's how aging starts. On the plus side, my hands still look smooth. Little things in life that make us happy. :D

I don't think that's a thing. Most of the visible signs of aging are down to sun damage and genetics, and don't seem to be to do with sex at all. Men get wrinkles as they age, and men who spend a lot of time in the sun without protection get them faster. Diet and exercise don't help with that. If you mean weight gain, sure, it is easier for men to control that as they age.
