This episode is trying to tell us how people fall in love with each other, even when they fall in different spheres of life. Here is trying to induce a racism type of storyline, how a sleeping around rabbit fell in love with a grasping wolf that sees em as food to "em stomach. I don't think such love can work.

I finished the manga, or the comics, and they got a happy ending. The number of carnivores who ends up killing smaller species declined when fish meat become legal. In this world, the fish are not sentient. They look like the fish in the real world. So the meat cravings of the carnivores had been toned down. So the rabbit and the wolf end up happy together. This story is actually a symbolism of the writer's real life. Because she is a Japanese woman dating a white man. And people had been judging them a lot of times when they're together. So she decided to make a story that reflects with the discrimination she had been through. Ever since, she dated a white man. And now, they got married.
