Your neighbor can easily sit your pet for you if you are nice with them. That would save you some money paying for pet sitting services.

Being neighborly nice can directly and indirectly save you money. Freebies are ocassionally one of the perks of neighborliness. But who would give you freebies if you are not a nice neighbor.

You can't be mean to your neighbour and expect freebies, these are only given to worthy neighbours that help in one way or the other which may not necessary be through monetary ways , little act of kindness matters.

Nowadays, since I started being very free with my new neighbor, she brings food for me everyday. I save money on dinner.

When you are neighborly nice and you are financially down, you can ask and share some things from your neighbor instead of having to go get them on credit. It helps your financial well-being.

It is a common practice for close neighbors to share gardening harvests with each other. This can help you save money on food for a moment.

The only way this would work is that you have mature neighbors. It has a tendency of leading to emotional distress arising from contempt from your neighbors out of excessive familiarity.

On my last birthday celebration, my neighbors almost gave me all the food items they used for the celebration because it was an agricultural harvest season.

Well when you have understanding neighbors that are also really nice, then you should get along with them nicely too, to gain from them.

I told my neighbor months ago that I would cook for her every so often. She gasped saying "really". As if she had won the jackpot!

I want to share lasagna with her when I cook for Thanksgiving, but not sure if the roommates would get mad.

Can you think of any dishes that I should prepare for we both every so often?

If two neighbors can build a good relationship, they would help each other in many ways which could even have financial savings implications. Like helping you buy stuffs for you both when he or she is going shopping.

When you belong to a neighborhood that is friendly, your expenses would reduce greatly because people are always looking out for each other materially and otherwise.

Guess what happened today? ;)

My neighbor contacted me and she said to look on my porch.

There was a big bag tied with a ribbon and a small note.

Inside the bag there was a big potato salad container filled with chocolates, a mini red velvet cake with small candles. The note said for me to "celebrate myself".

I really never celebrate myself.

Now it is my turn to bless her with a gift. What should I give her?

There is a reality show that all of us in my compound love. We reckoned that we could contribute to pay for cable TV subscription on one person's tv and save money subscribing individually. We saved that money while enjoying our favorite shows from the apartment of one of us.

It would be good to have a nice and friendly neighbor who are actually nice without having anything in the back of their minds.

Do you mean a neighbor thinking you are cute? A neighbor wanting to go out on date? I do not understand.

I also don't understand. But I think he is talking about a neighbor being genuinely concerned without having any material gain they are eyeing.
