I see from your profile that you're from Nigeria. I've heard that in certain African countries, people really like chicken. So they have to raise the price, because the supply can't meet the demand. I heard they even have to import chicken.

Lol yes you are right though, chicken is high in Demand especially during occasions like Christmas and new year or other events like weddings, birthdays and so on.

Yes and it also last longer as well, especially with how unstable our power supply is.

Bird flu had caused a hike in prices. But the prices came down for chicken. However, the price of eggs never went back down. :(

Over here the price has increased and it's not even because of bird flu, thr price just keeps going up.

Just went to the grocery store today. Eggs are still expensive. But Trump promised the price would go down. :(

My kids love eggs. So even though the price is high, they still buy them. On the other hand, they no longer eat beef, which is super expensive. They also don't eat pork. That's a savings too. So buying expensive eggs is OK.
