He sent me a PM also but I ignored it. Always cross reference with the usernames of anyone posting a response here.

Also mate you seem to be getting angry very fast, you did only make contact today. People sleep different times.

Edit:

You said all your money? How much exactly? Also how are you trying to call the police? Picking up the phone is the best way and you normally get a direct response. No need to try much harder.

I think never trusting new users is a bit unfair to say. We were all new once weren't we? New people can bring life to a forum of old coots. I don't really remember when I joined up but it couldn't have been that long ago. To some people who were some of the first to sign on I could still be considered pretty new. Does that mean I'm a scamming scumbag? Absolutely not! Everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt. You just have to be careful. Anyone can be a scammer, but that doesn't mean everyone is.

I am not aware of me or Fergal being sent any details of what has happened here. Please send one of us some proof as to what has gone on so we can have grounds to ban the user and protect other users here. We can't just ban users on the basis of a users claim on the forum without proof so we need some more info.

I wouldn't say don't trust new users but I would say be very cautious. If I were dealing with a very new user like the user you are mentioning, I would have done the deal in smaller chunks. $10 at a time and then after a few times up it to $20 each time or something like that. Limiting the risk is the key when doing big deals like this... especially when that user hasn't done any deals previously on the forum.

I am locking this topic now as it has gone offtopic but please provide proof about what has happened to either me or Fergal via PM ASAP!
