It would be little use to link it to you, the way the forum is set up you have to register before you can see anything. Including the profiles of other users. I don't really want to drive traffic that is uninterested in the forum only to check up on me. It's not based on an unruly topic but people of the forum, myself included would like to maintain anonymity for our own safety.
Sort of like if the topic was gay marriage, a lot of people might choose to be anonymous in that, and since I mainly role play in the forum, the role plays are able to be seen by me and other members, a term that my partners in said role plays agree to. However, with the forum having such high security, I can't allow non-members to see anything without their permission because we are both the creators, and can't morally drive traffic uninterested in being contributing members of the forum. All I can say to anyone who argue that they would continue to contribute, is that if that were true you would definitely find the forum and me without any help.
But the part you all care about is the potentially interested traffic. In answer to raaman, the point is, if you have a text link or banner ad you can buy the space in my signature and masses of people on the forum who view my role plays and other posts. I have currently nearly 600 posts with over 600 views each on many of them just hours after posting.
That means that if you buy the service and I add your text link or banner to your forum or blog, or ref link or other site to my forum signature and I make a post that let's say 6 hours later got over 600 views, that means that 600+ people also saw your banner or text link ads. So you may get some traffic to your site, or some referral link sign ups. I believe I can put ref links because I don't see anything in the rules about it, but If I am corrected and it must be removed then I will refund any time not used.
I can post screenshots of the posts to show the number of posts and views if anyone likes, but I will have to black everything out that doesn't relate to the traffic for privacy reasons.
