Hi friends,

Today I came to know that one of my friend in my native place at Kadapa, Andhra, India received a phone call stating that he is an offer at SBI and asked the details of my friends ATM card number and other details including the balance. By innocently my friend revealed all the information to the phone call immediately he received a alert message from SBI that rs 15000.00 was withdrawn from his account. My friend is panic and he wish to report to the same to the State Bank officials on Monday because Sunday is holiday for the bank.So do not reveal your ATM/Credit card number and Pin numbers to the unknown people.

oh my god! I once did to a forex company in the country. There was a caller who told me to log in to a website and deposit money because i will receive bonus. sadly, that was 50 dollars and that was non refundable. the agent said it will not deduct from my bank, but it was deducted. so frustrating! The next time they called, i said why it was deducted then the lady told me that it is better to invest money to forex than waiting for the bank to give interest. they did not answer my question why in the first place it was deducted from my account. i could have bought things from that.

that is so messed up. I live in the u.s. and get scam phone calls all the time. I never give out any personal info over the phone or via email. I always say that I would rather meet face to face. That way I can always tell if it is a scam because scammers will have every excuse why they can't meet.

I don't understand how people fall for this stuff, banks will not ask you for personal information on the phone. When in doubt hang up call the bank directly get the name of the person claiming to be a representation from the bank.

There are all kinds of scams in the US here, I have heard about most and how people fall for these things. They even had it on a tv program, so sad. Most of these people are never caught that do the actual cheating.

No I definitely wouldn't have had this problem. My hubby is the only one who knows my codes if he needed to take my card for something.

I would never reveal the numbers nor the pin to anybody. Such crime has been on the rise of late. I just hate those who just sit down only to take someones money

Someone was stealing from my atm and I do not know how it is possible because I have the atm with me no one knows about my password nor my account number. The bank could not tell me either so they just replaced my card but not the money lost. If you are using your atm to pay be careful too.

You realize that it can not receive even a penny back, the bank is still on its way, she told not to give their phone data.
And in our country happens all sorts of hatches strange one evening call me a gentleman to tell me that I won a car and I have to go to the bank to pay not know how much she can get the car and details where to go, after I realized it and closed scam, beware that they are everywhere people who want to harm us.
