Happiness

Postby bestwriter » 03 Nov 2025, 01:02

It is not how much one has but what one makes of what one has is the route to happiness.

There was this king who ordered that the beggar who came begging should be killed as he saw happiness on her face while he was miserable for whatever reason He could not enjoy what he had and could not bear to see that happy woman's face.

At the end of the day, happiness is a choice. You don't have to wait for something to make you happy, but you simply have to choose to be happy.

Indeed, perspective shapes our experience of happiness.

Let's not deceive ourselves. The amount of money that one has directly impacts how much one is happy. That's how the minds of people are tuned now

Interesting thought. I guess it's true that happiness isn't about possessions or status but about perspective. Some people just can't stand seeing others at peace when they aren't.

I think that is the main point, no matter how much money you have, if you don't have peace of mind, no amount of money in the world will make you happy.

Some extremely selfish people may have a lot of money but are incapable of making a kind gesture and helping those right next to them who need help. What grandeur is there in living in a palace when people are living on the street next door?

You have made a very strong point, happiness is not wealth or status, it is how you choose to look at life. There are people who see others as peaceful and have problems because they do not feel that way. It is like the Swahili proverb, "Fish out the fish while it is still raw," which means that your attitude creates your happiness. If you keep your mind on gratitude and peace, even without many things, life has a fresh taste.
