From the Archive: Travel Video Watch : Places in Ladakh, Northern Himalayan India

Postby ptrikha21 » 30 Oct 2025, 14:26

So saw this video documenting a journey through Ladakh, specifically focusing on the area between Leh and Alchi Monastery.
The host Harish Bali visits several notable locations, beginning with an exploration of "Stok Palace", where renovation closures are noted, and then proceeds to a rare Rock Art Library to discuss prehistoric petroglyphs with a local expert.

Then we see a discussion of local Ladakhi cuisine, including dishes like Thukpa and Chhutagi, before visiting the famous "Magnetic Hill Point" and the "Sangam" (confluence) of the Indus and Zanskar rivers, where white water rafting is observed.

This Ladakh trip video is really impressive because it covers some truly unique spots between Leh and Alchi Monastery. Harish Bali started with Stok Palace despite renovation closures and then went to the Rock Art Library to see prehistoric petroglyphs and hear explanations from local experts. Later he delved into Ladakhi cuisine showcasing dishes like Thukpa and Chhutagi which are traditional favorites. The trip continued to Magnetic Hill Point and Sangam where the Indus and Zanskar meet and white water rafting was a major highlight of the adventure.
