Do You Keep or Take To Store?

Postby Spontaneo » 23 Jul 2025, 22:01

Do you ever buy an item but then find that you do not want the item?

For example, I just bought an item. The company refuses to reimburse myself. The company refuses to send myself a return label. The company said that they would send something via email to download and scan at the library to take to the post office. I have explained over and over that I have no transportation.

What would you do?

That sounds really frustrating. I’ve been in a similar situation before, and honestly, if a company makes it that hard to return something, it makes me not want to shop with them again. If it’s a low-cost item, I might just keep it and consider it a lesson learned. But if it’s expensive, I’d keep pushing maybe message them through social media or leave a review explaining the issue. Sometimes companies respond faster when their reputation is involved. Hope it works out for you!

If you buy item and nothings wrong with it, they don't have to accept it back. Some stores allow replace it with something else, but they don't return money.
I think it is ok practice, since they deliver what you order. It is not their fault you don't need it.

My problem is that I ordered banana-flavored vape juice that was not cheap. The vape juice does not taste like a banana. The vape juice does not taste like anything for that matter.

I am a faithful customer.

I've gotten stuck with a few things I couldn't return, and usually I end up taking them to an opshop or giving them away. This reminds me- I have a sports bra I bought online that is the wrong size. It still has the tags on so I think I will try to sell it on ebay. I've bought bras on there myself and it's a bargain when you get one that is new but half the price.

You usually have to return the item to get a refund. If the company is giving you the option to scan a code at the post office, then that's on you. Companies are not responsible for transportation to the post office. Maybe you can arrange for someone to pick up the item at your house. The post office provides this service in some areas.

For me, when I return something, I usually drop it off at the designated location. If I can't get to the location, then I have to ask myself... is it worth it to return it or should I just eat my losses because it's more inconvenient for me to go and return the item?

You are funny. I too have bought bras online that do not fit. As a matter of fact, yesterday I attempted to get a friend to take the bras but she laughed and said that they would never fit but she said that she is going to ask her girls.

It's common to have buyer's remorse. It’s disappointing when a company makes returns so difficult.

This is what happens when you buy something and the company refuses to listen to you. They send you to the post office and the library if you have a car and a printer worth millions. This is not fair at all, it's like they are belittling you.

But there is still hope, you can write to them again if you are angry or find someone local to help you print that label. Also, see if there is a group online where people share tips for returning without stress. Don't accept being harassed by the company.

I will try my best to return that item and get back my money but after all try if it won't happen then I never go there and tell my friends and family members to never purchase from them.
