Thanks to Superman Adoption of Mutts increased

Postby Netherrealmer » 16 Jul 2025, 19:38

In Comics Superman's dog Krypto is mostly one of these breeds in comics and cartoons: White Shepperd, Spotless Dalmatian and White Labrador. DC comics had gone through multiple reboots so his breed changed many times. In the current Superman movie though, Krypto is just a Mutt, which means a mix breed dog we usually see as stray on streets. Thanks to the Superman movie the mutt adoption increased.

People realize mutts can be as loving and as loyal as expensive breeds

That's nice. There are lots of good dogs out there in need of good homes. Mutts are less prone to genetic problems that pedigrees get so they tend to be healthier, which is nice. You don't need the capital 'm' though, it's not a proper noun, just a word.

Lol that's how it is, most people want to feel like they belong, hence they follow the trend. Anyways it's a good thing for the dogs though.

Feel free to write however you want. I didn't mean to be rude, so I'm sorry if it came across that way. I just thought you might want to know. When I practice other languages it's native speakers who help me get things sounding right more than formally studying.

If you guys google Superman, Krypto's paw will leave a paw mark on every part of the screen you click. This is temporary.

I guess celebration for movie's success and increase of dog adoption

Good to see a big movie like Superman shining light on mutts. It’s nice that more people are choosing to adopt them.

This is a good news. A positive outcome of something shown in a movie.
I hope it is not a short term fad and continues well enough.

My expensive breed dogs died earlier than my mutts because mutts are healthier

I would take that a very positive news. Many people especially the rich and affluent go for expensive breeds. With this many mutts would find a loving home. Yes, local inexpensive breeds are as loving and adorable as the expensive hybrids. And they are less maintenance too.

Yes, especially if they go ahead with the project of making short episodes of just krypto, then i doubt this move would stop anytime soon.

The paw prints are fun. You had to click the red paw at the bottom to make it work.

Thanks, my mistake. I wonder how much they pay for this ad. It looks better than standard ad in left or right banner.
