Preparing And Serving Meals For Others

Postby Spontaneo » 29 Jun 2025, 01:24

I would love to be able to prepare and serve meals to my loved ones, but my loved ones live far away. My loved ones would be proud because when I lived at home, I could not even prepare a grilled cheese!

As you all probably know, I have a roommate. Every Sunday, I prepare and serve a luncheon for her and her boyfriend. I ask for requests and the 2 tell myself what the 2 want.

For tomorrow, the request is odd. I do not even know if I am even going to be able to gum the meal. My roommate wants baked potatoes and grilled cheese!

How about you?

I don't like prepare food for others. I am not sure why but I am always have feeling I will do something wrong. I am more relaxed when I prepare food my self. Even when I don't put enough salt for example, I can fix it but others would probably say first negative comment and then add it by itself.

That’s such a kind thing you do every Sunday. Baked potatoes and grilled cheese is sure an unusual combo, but it sounds like a fun challenge. I’m sure you’ll make it work, even if it takes some creativity.

That's understandable, you can just imagine you are cooking a large amount of food for yourself.

My roommate's boyfriend is hilarious! He ate 3 grilled cheeses and 3 baked potatoes. Then, he took an entire storage container of
Hammy Sammy that had been in the fridge home with him!

My roommate demanded to be fed first.

I guess that you can say that the Sunday lunch was a success.

This upcoming Sunday? German Potato Salad with Kielbasa is requested.

I would like the 2 to appreciate that I get up at 5 am to get the lunch prepared!

Getting up at 5 a.m to cook for them, that’s serious dedication, and they should appreciate it. German potato salad with kielbasa sounds good too.

I don't do most of the cooking in my household but I do cook for my family a couple of times a week. I don't really like cooking though. Sometimes I bake something to take to an event, which I enjoy doing more. It's a good feeling if they enjoy eating something I made for them.

The luncheon menu had changed today! Instead, I prepared Italian pepperoni and beef soup! A complete success! I wish that I could have fed my family.

I love food buffets! Not only salads but tons of other food! Economical too!

I like going out to places and being fed and spoiled. For example, my landlord throws a big dinner for the Christmas holiday. I raid the dessert table!

I am so tired of German Potato Salad with Spicy Smoked Sausage or Kielbasa, but if my Sunday luncheon keeps my roommate happy and her boyfriend happy, I want everyone to be happy.

Since I always take requests for Sunday luncheons, would I be wrong in asking what I would like?

Yet again, the roommate and her boyfriend wanted Crock-Pot German Potato Salad with Kielbasa!

I asked if we could have pasta salad or taco salad next weekend. The roommate said no. Her boyfriend said yes.

What do you think?
