Christmas in July

Postby Spontaneo » 21 Apr 2025, 23:32

My neighbor usually gives myself a gift for "Christmas in July".

I won a box of little Christmas candy canes from Bingo!

So, I am giving her the box of little Christmas candy canes for "Christmas in July"!

How about you? Do you ever participate in "Christmas in July"?

;) ;)

Some people in Australia like to do Christmas in July so they can do Northern hemisphere traditional stuff like cook a roast meal etc. in winter (since Christmas is in summer here). I've never done that myself though.

Never heard of this concept before. Yet I believe that it would be applicable for people living in the Southern hemisphere more than those in the Northern as summer months for Northern folks are the winter months for Southern ones.

I think, it's a fun idea to celebrate Christmas in July. Great way to bring some holiday cheer during the summer months.

I wasn't aware this was actually a thing. I don't participate in this though.

I think "Christmas in July" is a fun way to break up the year and bring some holiday cheer when it's needed most, especially during the summer. If I were to give a gift, maybe something lighthearted like a summer-themed holiday ornament or a fun, quirky mug, just to keep it in the spirit but with a twist.

Where would you find such gifts?
