Cooking For Yourself

Postby Spontaneo » 26 Jan 2025, 08:53

My roommate "rarely" has dinner with myself. On occasion, she does, such as yesterday.

I love to cook though.

I love food!

I usually give food to my neighbor.

I am just wondering though if you happen to cook for yourself and what do you like to cook for yourself?

Yes, I do save food and place in the fridge for later consumption.

I think that Tuna Soup is good for when you are alone... Inexpensive and delicious.

Mix:
can of albacore tuna
can of cream of mushroom soup
milk

Warm up the soup and voila!

I consumed food that somebody else cooked for me for lunch today.

I don't cook much lately because I work full time and my husband works from home so it's easier for him to make dinner (he can get started earlier, and his job is less physically demanding so he's not as tired in the evening). I cook dinner about once a week when he goes out. I don't particularly enjoy cooking. Sometimes when I have time I bake. I bake biscuits, cakes, slices, brownies, that sort of thing.

I do not bake much and when I do they are no bakes. You just reminded myself to prepare no bake peanut butter cookies which I have been meaning to prepare and keep forgetting!

I live alone, so I cook for myself. This allows me to save money and know what is in my food, especially since I have a chronic condition. I usually prepare local dishes like sinigang and tinola.
